I brought 36 members of our mixed section from Harrogate for a day at Otley yesterday. Although the weather was mixed, we had a good day and the meal was excellent.

On behalf of Soroptimist International of Ilkley I should like to pay tribute to the staff of the Bar and the Catering staff for such a professional service they displayed to our members and guests last Friday. Everyone was delighted with the warmth and friendlyness of the staff out front and it all made for such an enjoyable occassion. I must pat tribute particularly to the excellent food that was prepared on the evening.

From first to last, we were exposed to true professionalism and courtesy, such that organising the dinner was without any hitches or other problems. Consequently, those of us in the "driving seat" were able to enjoy the proceedings along with everyone else.
I should be most grateful if you would kindly pass on my thanks to your staff but especially to Tim Youlden for the beef, which melted in the mouth, and to Carol who coped with all the changes and problems that we could and did generate without turning a hair. Such is the calibre of your staff.

William, Tim and the staff played a large part in making the occassion both happy and memorable.

Ruth and I wish you and the management to know that our Golden Wedding luncheon last Saturday was a great sucess.
The staff, in both the kitchen and bar were very professional and William and Tim very helpful in advising us on how the event be best organised.
All the food, as well as the drink was first class. Our guests of which only 3 were club members were all very impressed, even the young one's expressing their view that thay had had a great afternoon.

I am delighted to report that the Society's Annual Dinner (Chippendale Society) was an unqualified sucess in no small measure thanks to the excellence of the catering and service provided by the Bar and Serving staff.
Our President, Lord St Oswald has asked me to convey his own congratulations, also those of our main guest, Sir Thomas Ingleby who as you know puts on many popular gastronomic events at Ripley Castle. Praise indeed!! .....

After such a wonderful day yesterday, I had to write to thank you and all your staff at Otley Golf Club for making it so enjoyable. I received praise all day for the choice of venue, the condition of the course, the facilities and the professionalism of all the staff. Then to top it all we had the excellent food provided by Tim and his team.
Numerous members of our party think we should visit again next year, which I wholeheartedly agree with.
