Safety Advice

Adverse Weather Policy

Suspension of play due to adverse weather.

In the event of lightning the siren will be sounded with one prolonged blast. Players must suspend play, mark their ball and leave the course immediately.

In the event of adverse weather (i.e. flooded greens) the siren will be sounded with three consecutive blasts. Players must mark their ball, suspend play and leave the course. At their discretion they may complete the hole they are playing and then leave the course.

Play will be resumed and signalled with two consecutive blasts of the siren when the following conditions apply:

1. The threat of lightning  has passed.

2. In the case of flooded  greens a visual inspection of the 9th and 18th greens will be undertaken by the Pro Staff. If those greens are clear of standing water the course will be open for play 20 minutes following the inspection and the siren will be sounded at that point.
