I thought the course was presented in really good condition for this time of year, in spite of the terrible weather we're experiencing.  

I liked the definition of the course. It was the right call to close the two holes and the placement of two temporary greens was spot on. 

The lines around the temp greens was a good idea. The ropes are all in good places and the tee boxes were placed in good locations. Apart from the last which was a bit cruel. 

Mark and the team were on it from minute one ( we were there early ) They gave great support to Ian and the Union team. 

Great to see Steve in the Pro shop he was on good form. 

The new teaching bay and shop stock and presentation was spot on. It's a really good refurbishment.

Just a quick note of thanks for all the support we have received from Otley Golf Club today. From early discussions with Mark through to today when it could easily have been called off, we have been made to feel welcome and supported in a first class way. 

A special thanks to the Head Greenkeeper who gave us a briefing early on, the Caterer who came in early to keep us watered and fed alongside the Pro Shop team who gave a number of new competitors some quick guidance about the course. Our President made it back early from Woodhall Spa and so we had a quick prize giving and when he articulated his thanks to the team at Otley they got a round of applause from those present  -  so top job from the Otley team!!

We visited Otley GC  as a group of 20 from Howley Hall. We were disappointed to arrive on a very soggy day. Firstly, may I thank you for your hospitalty - the staff were a credit to your Club. We enjoyed our golf and the course was in good condition despite the recent inclement weather. We were a little disappointed to find one of the holes had been closed and a couple of others were playing to a shortened length. This was casually mentioned to the Professional on our return to the clubhouse. Not only did the Pro come and discuss this with us but the Club Captain also arrived and could not apologise enough and we were offered a discount on our golf. This gesture was very much appreciated and we cannot compliment you enough on how we were treated by all concerned. We look forward to visiting you again next year.
