The seventeenth hole is a tricky, predominantly flat hole that rises steeply just before the front of the green and is often into the wind so take enough club.  Go long and there is trees and grassy bank with out of bounds not too far away as well as all the way down the right-hand side.  The green itself is protected by deep bunkers on both sides. Miss to the left and face a tricky chip or bunker shot to a green that slopes from left-to-right. Miss to the right and, if you avoid the bunker, you face a steep chip back onto the putting surface. The green itself has some tricky contours meaning a two here is a great result.
