A message from, Peter Turner, the organiser of the Men's Eclectic is as follows:
The 2019 Men’s Eclectic is now open for entries and can be accessed through the website’s ‘Ongoing Competitions’ tab. As last year the competition will be run over the Monthly Medals and Stablefords, played on Saturdays only, commencing with the May Medal, scheduled to be played April 27th and continue until completion of the September Stableford. Prizes will be awarded for divisional winners and in addition there will be a new cash prize this year for the most improved individual Eclectic Score vs 2018, (where a minimum of 5 rounds have been completed). Last year’s winner achieved a creditable eclectic score of 48, a challenging target to beat in 2019.
The impending clubhouse events include the Ladies Golf Evening on Wednesday, the Past Captains' Dinner on Thursday, the sold-out Quiz Evening in aid of Martin House on Friday and Mothers Day lunches on Sunday - please book in the kitchen for this event.
The list of Management, Sub-Committees and Project Groups, along with an accompanying explanatory list of arrangements, is now on the board in the hall. The representatives on the various Sub-Committees include several changes from the original list and these include that, following David O'Halloran's resignation, Steve Jex, has agreed to Chair the House Sub-Committee. Our thanks go to David for his work during the last year or so.

The refurbishment of the ladies' powder room gets underway imminently. This will result in quite a lot of upheaval and interruption and will probably include the ladies using the junior locker room for a while. Final plans are still under discussion and further details and alternative arrangements will follow when known. Your cooperation and forbearance during this period will be appreciated.
A reminder that on this, his final day at the Club, that there will be a short presentation to Richard. This will take place in the clubhouse at 2.30pm this afternoon - all welcome.
