The thirteenth hole is played from an elevated tee in summer that gives a good view of the challenges ahead. A wide, generous fairway allows for some latitude but trees line both sides so do not go too wide in either direction. The fairway flattens out but the next hazard is a water-filled gully that cuts across the fairway. Once this is passed there are two fairway bunkers to trap a low running or short approach shot. The green, once reached, is relatively flat and deep with bunkers to left and right all combining to add to the difficulty and challenge of this hole.

Andy Holder - Men's Captain 2022:

"This is a great golf hole with a fantastic view from an elevated tee. I regularly walk the dog on the Chevin and love looking down on this hole. The elevated tee and approach to a tight green provides a great challenge and justifies its Stroke Index of 2. In time I would love to see a water feature too."
